Sugar Free Spiced Apple Cider.

I picked two boxes of this Sugar-Free Spiced Apple Cider Drink Mix yesterday during our ill-fated grocery shopping trip. I got two, because it was on sale, and I figured I would use it right up during this season. It sort of made it all better because,
It's pretty tasty. Now, it's not cider. You can't replace the real thing, but, it's probably the closest thing taste-wise. I can't drink a lot of the real thing, it's too highly concentrated with fruit sugar.
I mixed a packet with hot water, about eight ounces, straight out of my Poland Springs instant hot tap, and stirred. It's not the same texture as cider, it's thin and watery. I suppose you could use less water to try to make it "thicker," but you might have a too-strong flavor. The flavor is quite tart, but I like it. It's a tangy-tart apple flavor.
If I had it in the house, I would definitely add some Torani or DaVinci Sugar-Free Syrup to this, just a touch, in CARAMEL or CINNAMON. YUM. Don't even look at this recipe. Eggy, can you work on this?
I'm a bit irked with the company website. I went to get you the nutrition stats, because, I am comfy in my spot here sipping the stuff (apparently I will have to go find it elsewhere, like back to my trash where the box is) but this is what their website reads (WHY?)

Hmm I'm always iffy about sugar free things. The stuff they make it to taste sweet can't be good for you. that baby is soooooo CUTE!!!!

Yep, it tastes awesome with some caramel syrup! Like a liquid caramel apple! Not too much syrup though -- I've overdone it in the past and it's far too sweet! Start out with a teaspoon and go from there. I don't have cinnamon syrup, but I bet that would make it taste like a candy apple - yum! ~ Kim

I've tried this before and it is a very nice way to warm up on a cool winter day. It actually brings back memories of sitting together, with my best friend back from grade school, after a late-night sleep over. She would make us a special treat of hot apple cider (I have no idea if it was the real thing or from a powder package), and would always ad a pinch of red hot candies to melt in the bottom. Those special moments help build a life long friendship.

My Mom used to drink it all the time but we can never find the sugar-free version anywhere.
Super-Walmart to the rescue!
