Sinking ships and fat pants.
I'm on fire.

Jay Robb High Protein JAYBAR Fudge Brownie

I really hoped this tasted good, because it's all natural, made with awesome ingredients.  And, it's sweetened with agave, which is low GI and delicious.

But.  No.

I took a bite and a half and spit it out.   Fudge Brownie?  Not so much.  I didn't taste chocolate at all.  I rarely spit food out, but this was all wrong texturally and taste wise.  Maybe it was stale?  I don't know, but I could not chew it well, and it was just very odd.  I think I called it crunchy raisins, because that is what it tasted like at that moment.  It was very hard, then chewy and gummy.

I have another flavor to try.  I will give it another shot.  I want to say it's just not my thing because I am not a nut-butter fan?  I like other items made with various butters, but this was just weird, I hope it was just stale.  Maybe I'll have more to add when I taste the other one.

  • Jay Robb High Protein JAYBAR Fudge Brownie
  • Via - GNC?  I don't really remember where I got this one, I've had it sitting in my "to try" drawer for a while.
  • Price - $2.99
  • Pros - All natural ingredients.  A change from the artificial.  This is a good thing.  Also, seems to be good for diabetics - agave syrup as the sweetener is low GI.
  • Cons - Sticky hard texture, hard to chew, bizarre flavor that does not resemble "fudge brownie."  Lots of carbs.
  • Rating - Neutral, I think I got a bad bar. I hope it's just that I got a stale bar, let's put it that way for now.  I will try this other bar and make my determination.
