Someone had asked me how Mr's madre was faring. (If you are a new reader - she had RNY a couple years back - has had a million reconstructive procedures and lots of complications.) She's still recovering from hopefully THE last revision to the breast reconstruction. No, I can't remember how many. There's one hole in her stitches that is not closing again.
In other news: A couple of weeks ago -- she had a weird neurological issue. That's what I am going to call it. She described losing vision, and feeling in her left arm. She called the doctors, thinking it was a stroke. (I asked her if it MIGHT have been a hypoglycemia, because... well I deal with those symptoms during low sugar and seizure events.) The docs tested for a stroke -- first she said it might have been a small one - a TIA. Testing revealed it was NOT, which is a good thing.
The other day she said the doctors told her it was a migraine. I am sitting there thinking to myself -- I was diagnosed with an atypical migraine when I told the doctors about my brain malfunctions in the emergency room. I swear to dog, if this woman starts having seizures, too, and nobody catches the progression! This woman is in a constant state of vertigo, has neurological lapses, loss of feeling in her limbs at times... it's not normal.
