What Happens to the “Old Stomach” in Gastric Bypass?

Gotein - Protein To Go! Free Samples, too!

Another wicked awesome product I stumbled on via Facebook!  I contacted them, and they're totally coming to the SO CA Obesity Help Conference.

What is GOTEIN?  Super cool stick-packs of low carb protein powder that you can add directly to your water bottle, you know, to go?  This is something I have always wanted -- and a few weeks ago as I dumped protein powder ALL OVER MY LAP in an airplane -- would have loved.

Gotein™ Protein to Go, helps refuel the body, and improves lean muscle mass while burning fat. Perfect for the sports minded person that needs to perform at their best while exercising or playing a high energy sport.*

  • Drink approximately 1/3 of a 16.9 fl. oz water.
  • Add complete packet of Gotein™ to your water bottle, swirl and shake well until completely dissolved and enjoy a tasty, low carb shake.

The packs are big -- it is an entire "scoop" of protein powder in each stick pack -- so don't expect a "Crystal Light" stick here.  Okay, they are huge.  But.  Deal.  You do need to make room in your bottle for the ounce of protein to mix well.

The protein is a blend of whey protein concentrate, milk protein concentrate, and whey protein isolate.  It contains a touch of fiber via inulin, a ton of vitamins and is sweetened with sucralose.

I opened a packet of the Vanilla Flavor - because it's my go-to choice, and sniffed.  It smelled super sweet -- no sour whey smell.  I mixed it into a bottle of ice cold water and shook it like crazy.

It mixed really well with no detectable lumps or grit.  I have been able to sip it down pretty quickly because of that, you know I am super sensitive to textures.  It's sweet and creamy, very vanilla.  Yum.

Gotein™ Vanilla packet contains 17 grams of our special protein matrix, 5 grams of carbs, 24 essential vitamins and minerals, and is only 100 calories.
