And, here I go!

I've had this particular flavor of ProJoe chillin' in my fridge forever.  I don't know why I have avoided it.  But, I have.  It's CHAI flavored ProJoe from Bariatric Advantage.  I like Chai very much, but I think I like my espresso more.  <wink>

"ProJoe is a healthier twist on your favorite brew. Each serving of these delicious coffee and tea drinks provides you with a full 20 grams of protein and only 5 grams of carbohydrate. You also get an added nutritional boost with vitamins A, C, D, B1, B5, B6, B12 and Calcium - definitely not your typical coffeehouse drink! "

Look at those sexy stats.

The ProJoe comes in cute glass baby-food bottles.  (I'm sorry, that's the only thing I can think of when I pop the top off of these things.)  They are 9.5 ounce glass bottles, which of course you should recycle.  After I popped the top, I sniffed, and I smelled?

Sweet cloves!

If you are not familiar with Chai, it is a traditional drink of India and Pakistan, and chai has become a popular beverage worldwide.  It's now totally mainstream, with chai lattes served up in Starbucks and other coffeeshops.

The spices used in chai can incorporate lots of flavors including cardamom, cloves, star anise, cinnamon and even sometimes black pepper.

But this time, it's sweet.

The ProJoe Chai is a very sweet blend of brewed tea and protein blend (milk protein concentrate and whole grain brown rice protein) with added vitamins.  It's sweetened with sucralose.  I can tell there is protein in the drink, however it's not leaving a residue in my mouth.  Win.

I've finished up the bottle, and I'm not getting any after-taste or sticky mouth feel.

It's very different than coffee.  Absolutely different.

And, I kinda love this one.

Crap.
